he Official Website of Shanae Hall

Shanae is known for her very frank, matter-of-fact personality. In 2006 she was asked to participate in an E! True Hollywood special, entitled Sports Stars, Private Lives. Her segment was the highlight of the show, and lead to that episode becoming a huge success. After filing for divorce on her high school sweet heart and then NFL “sports star“ husband she began a new journey in life that had a path cut just for her. Shanae and her children moved back to California, where she was born and raised. She then enrolled into the Cinema Television Arts program at California State University Northrigde in Southern California. Shanae jumped on the scene as an on-air radio personality on Sirius/XM in 2008.

While completing her internship on Jamie Foxx’s Foxxhole Sirius/XM radio station she began to find a passion for the arts. She completed her Bachelor of Arts degree, graduating in May 2010. After graduation, Shanae put all of her focus into completing the book that would officially put her on the map as a writer and a TV personality.

Shanae Hall and her mother Rhonda Frost published their first self-help book in October 2010 “Why Do I Have To Think Like A Man?” which was the rebuttal to Steve Harvey’s New York Times Bestseller. This book was an instant success. It really resonated with women all over the country. The timing of their release could not have been better. Shanae was featured on the front page of AOL news with a Lemondrop article on cheating spouses. “Why Do I have to Think Like A Man” jumped to number #1 on Amazon's hot New Releases. It was also nominated for the best self-help book of 2011 by the AA Literary Awards.

The success of their first book landed Shanae a reoccurring spot on CNN’s Headline News as a correspondent and appearances on several local and national news stations, including CNN, Jane Valez, Tru TV, FOX, PBS, and New York Nightly.

While Shanae is enjoying her success, she still finds time to give back to her community. In 2005 Shanae Hall started an Atlanta based non-profit called New Beginnings Inc. that is designed to help women get back on their feet. Every year Shanae makes it a point to plan, and participate in events and to donate time and resources to the women that need it the most. With the help of other non-profits and caring people within the community, Shanae has been able to offer housing, gifts, and most of all encouragement to women that have been victims of domestic violence and abuse. She plans to continue to push her limits to live the dream and connect with others, inspiring one woman at a time to be authentic and to love herself first. --
